Job Summary
Prepare estimates/proposals in response to client inquiries, under the supervision and oversight of a sales manager, with goal of converting inquiries into active orders through a process of active client engagement, analyzing client's needs, submitting job proposals for client review, closing the sale, and facilitating successful client transition from sales to production.  Ensure referral source retention and client satisfaction via positive, responsive and constructive communications and creation of active orders that are structured for successful realization.

Job Responsibilities 
The Senior Sales Associate position brings prior experience as an estimator of custom projects.  He/she will be trained in processes and products specific to our business, but will be expected to immediately apply existing skills and tasks required to successfully execute this role.  He/she will respond to incoming inquiries in a timely manner, engaging with each client in a manner that fully captures and comprehends the client's goals, engaging with vendors or suppliers as necessary to complete an estimate, and providing clearly scoped estimates to the client (including possible options as appropriate).   He/she coordinates the sales process to see that service and quality objectives are fulfilled. He/she helps to manage the customers’ experience with the company and its employees. Assist with and accept delegated tasks from the Sales Leader. Other duties may be assigned that may or may not include the following: site visits to client locations for client discussion and/or capture of photographs, measurements or other job site details; pick-up & delivery of materials, supplies, signs, etc;  follow-up with customers.  Growth in this role to a Sales Leader will be enabled through consistent demonstration of mastery of larger and more complex bids and productivity of delivery of bids, estimates and proposals.  Each Sales Associate will be responsible to:
  • Ensure all estimates produced reflect scope of work required by the customer. 
  • Ensure sales goals are achieved. 
  • Ensure estimates written to achieve company gross profit goals. 
  • Ensure necessary briefing with assigned Project Manager is completed for each job sold. 
  • Ensure all sales paperwork is organized and job progress is maintained per company processes and to meet management and customer expectations. 
  • Ensure company adopted customer service principles are understood and implemented through the sales processes. 
  • Ensure all customers are satisfied with services performed.
  • Ensure all incoming calls related to sales activities are responded to immediately and followed up promptly. 
  • Ensure all authorizations are obtained prior to work beginning and proper procedures are followed when funds should be collected on jobs.

  • Possess high school diploma or equivalent. 
  • Possess valid Drivers License, Proof of insurance, and a reliable vehicle to ensure reliable transportation to work each day.
  • Experience in the position of Estimator or Sales Associate for company of comparable size or equivalent experience is desirable but not a requirement.  Individuals without experience, but with an adaptive positive attitude and appropriate aptitude may be accepted for this position, trained, and expected to demonstrate skills mastered during the course of employment.
  • Excellent communication skills, including ability to present and speak in public. 
  • Ability to exercise integrity, at the moment of choice and think/reason strategically.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret job estimates and reports. 
  • Advanced computer skills including software, hardware, programs, and application. 
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, gross margin, mark-up, commissions, percentages, area, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. 
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as map reading, safety rules, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak English effectively with customers, employees, or the public in general. 
 
Compensation: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
